Postcards were the SMS messages of their day.

I came across a reference to this article on Tech Dirt. The article was published on the 160 Characters web site. It is a very interesting article that compares the era of peak postcard use to today's use of texting. There were at least two postal deliveries per day so people made arrangements for the evening of the day that they sent the card. The range of picture postcards is very similar to the picture messaging of today.I have a poscard collection that might be of interest to people. perhaps it is time for another new blog?
